You can't run from what you are You can't hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Elaine opened her eyes to reveal that she had gone to a massive mansion. She didn‘t know how she got there, but she knew she had never been to that place. She got up out of the chair she was sitting in and walked over to the near by table. She reached into her pocket and removed her totem. She set it down on the surface, and spun it. She watched as it spun smoothly and showed no signs of slowing down or toppling. She sighed as she now knew she was in a dream. The question was, was it her dream or someone else‘s…
She heard voices down the hall, and she snatched her top up and replaced it back into her pocket. She then slowly approached the voices. She wondered where she was, and decided to ask a projection or perhaps the owner of the dream. She stopped when she came to a pair of people. A man and a woman. The woman had red hair, and was pretty. Elaine stopped in the doorway and decided to wait until their conversation was over before asking her question. ”Speaking…” Thinking… ”Other person talking…” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When you look through empty eyes Night falls and the darkness remains TIME :: Night TAG :: Jean, open MOOD :: Confused WORDS :: 276 NOTES :: How did she end up there? Jean had trouble sleeping, ever since she got back from the control of the phoenix. For once in a great while, she walked down a hallway and noticed Scott before her. Jean scanned around the area, but she heard something. When she turned away, she felt her heart breaking. She turned to the right and saw a mirrior. When Jean walked up to it, she removed the sheet and Jean did not see her reflection, it was the phoenix reflection.
"Everyone I love I hurt" She punched the mirrior hard and the glass shattered. Looking down she not iced her right knuckls are bleeding. But not bad. But she felt something, and it had nothing to do with herself or anyone in her life. When she spun around, she saw a young girl before her.
"Who are you?" She asked.

You can't run from what you are You can't hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Elaine stood there and watched as the man vanished, and the woman turned toward a covered mirror. She saw the woman pull the sheet off to reveal the reflection of a powerful bird. The woman then go angry and threw a hard punch, shattering the mirror and reflection. She noticed the woman‘s knuckles were slightly bleeding, and felt a need to help.
Elaine silently sighed as she willed the now shattered mirror back to being whole and the woman‘s injuries gone. She had already figured out that this dream belonged to the red headed woman. She then willed a strong bird cage to appear in the corner with a strong lock on the door. The key she willed into the woman‘s hand. She wanted to help her keep this bird figure, who was obviously powerful, at bay. She only wanted to help the woman.
”Who are you?”
Elaine looked at the woman when the question was voiced, and saw the woman looking at her. ”I‘m Elaine.” she said simply, and then took another look around. ”Where is this place?” She asked completely curious. She thought this place looked safe and welcoming. Perhaps she should travel there when she awoke and find a place to finally call home... ”Speaking…” Thinking… ”Other person talking…” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When you look through empty eyes Night falls and the darkness remains TIME :: Night TAG :: Jean, open MOOD :: Confused WORDS :: 208 NOTES :: She likes the place… SONG :: Dream Weaver by Gary Wright STATUS :: Done CREDIT :: LYCAN!

Jean watched what the girl did, how was this possible? Her eyes scanned the area again. But the girl, she walked towards the girl. Something in Jean made her stop when she heard the name. Closing her eyes she heard whispers, the girl could hear them. At least she thought Elaine did. It was uncertain what she could or could not hear or see. "My name is Jean Grey, but you already knew." Looking back at the mirror.
"The phoenix is calmed by you, but the question is why. Perhaps because your in my head. I live at the Xavier Institute for gifted students.." Jean walked up to her, a soft smile on her face. She slowly placed her hand to her cheek. Using her mind in a form that would not harm her.
"You will know where we are, just look into your head." She said with a softness to her.

You can't run from what you are You can't hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Elaine watched as the woman looked around again before walking toward her. She braced herself for pain or death, one which she will feel once she awakes and the other will guarantee that she will awake. Then the whispers came. Her eyes shifted over to the mirror where the powerful bird was. It seemed to call the woman‘s name, but anything else was unintelligible. The woman then introduced herself and nodded her head in response. She watched as Jean looked over at the mirror again.
There was something about the creature in the mirror that nagged at her. She couldn‘t quite put her finger on it. Perhaps if she stayed here, she might learn. She briefly closed her eyes, and opened them. She had tried to take them into her mind, but as always she had failed. She should have known it wouldn‘t work, but she still tried anyway. She silently sighed once again in defeat.
”The phoenix is calmed by you, but the question is why. Perhaps because your in my head. I live at the Xavier Institute for gifted students..”
Jean said and walked up to her. Elaine braced herself once more, but was surprised by the gentle touch and smile that she had given. In an instant something was given to her, and she knew where to go upon waking. ”Perhaps it is calm because I do not wish to control it. Instead I gave it a place to look and you the key to let it out.” She explained as she first pointed to the cage in the corner and then touched the hand that held the key to the lock of the cage. ”Instead of someone else trying to control the phoenix, I had given you the control. That is what I think.” She added as she looked at the mirror again. From what she knew about the phoenix was that they never truly die. Instead they burst into flames and become reborn from the ashes.
”You will know where we are, just look into your head.”
She nodded her head as she already knew that, and walked over to the mirror. She placed her hand on the surface and willed it to dissolve and allow the bird to come into the room. She somehow felt that the creature will not harm her. ”What kind of Institute is this?” She finally asked when she smiled at the phoenix and Jean. She wanted to learn more about this place while she was here. ”Speaking…” Thinking… ”Other person talking…” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When you look through empty eyes Night falls and the darkness remains TIME :: Night TAG :: Jean, open MOOD :: Curiousity WORDS :: 417 NOTES :: Perhaps that is some sort of explanation… SONG :: Dream Weaver by Gary Wright STATUS :: Done CREDIT :: LYCAN!
