PERSONALITY:
Ever since Cain/Hydro first started high school, he began to grow cocky, but kept his kind heart. His confidence grew as he started to play sports and succeed in them. Even though he was stronger and faster than most, he never stepped on anyone who got in his way. Instead, he tried to make those who were weaker than he was stronger. He has always had a strong sense of duty to public safety, which made him a perfect canidate for the government.

HISTORY:
Cain Herold was born in New York City to a wealthy family. Always a child that obeyed his parents without question. He grew up going to private schools, having the best education, and of course having anything he wanted. As a child, he admired his father and once day opened to be just like him, a wealthy bussiness man worth millions. Though that was what Cain wanted, Destiny had other plans for him. As Cain began to grow older two things caught his attention; sports and a girl named Alexa. Cain and Alexa became inseparable during their early preteen years. This was only the long and hard road that Cain would slowly journey down towards his destiny.

Cain and Alexa grew closer and closer each year until the day they finally confronted their own emotions and admitted they were in love. Their courtship started in highschool and lasted through college. Everyone who knew them thought the best for them, marrage and eventually a family together. Of course they would have been right, but fate has a way of changing things.

It all happened the day Cain and Alexa graduated from college. With their lives going the exact way they had planned, everything seemed perfect. Cain even had an engagment ring he planned to give to Alexa that night during their families celebration dinners for them. The night was set. Both his and Alexa's families had gathered into Cain's parents home for the dinner that had been set up for the two. With everyone downstairs, Cain was upstairs in his bedroom, getting ready for the big night. His eyes glanced down at the ring he held between his thumb and index finger. It shimmered in the light of the room. Suddenly, a loud sound catches his attention. A loud shot came from downstairs. Shoving the ring into his pocket, Cain bolted down the steps, only to see a bloody mess. The bodies of everyone he knew laid on the ground in a pool of blood. Cain was in shock. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Before he could do anything else, the man who had killed everyone else in the house looked up at Cain with a sadistic grin across his face. He raised the gun towards Cain and shot. The bullet dug into Cain's right shoulder, causing him to pass out from the pain.
The next thing that Cain remembered was waking up in the hospital. Right away he began to go wild. He tried to pull the cords and tubes that were inside of his body, but he was quickly stopped by a large group of doctors and nurses. It was useless, he was stuck there for now. A few hours had passed and Cain thought about the events that had placed him inside the hospital. The last thing he could remember was seeing everyone dead, including Alexa and their famlies. Tears began to form in his eyes just as the door to his rom began to open. He had a visitor, but it wasn't someone that Cain knew, It was a nicely dressed man in a suit. The man told Cain how he knew who killed his family and Alexa. The man explained that it was a mutant attack to try to get to Cain. Of course Cain questioned the man before beliving his story. The man went on to tell Cain that the reason the mutant had attacked him was because the mutant learned about how the government wanted to use Cain and give him powers like them. Cain was given a mutant gene when his mother was pregnant with him and the government wanted to awaken it By the end of the two men's talk, Cain had enlisted with the government to join their program. Cain was going to find the man who destroyed his life.

Cain stood outside of a government building. His hands were stuffed into his pockets while his eyes were closed. Taking a deep breath of air, he felt the wind from cars rushing by in the street. His life had taken a dramatic change for the better. After everything that had happened, he felt this was something good. His mutants powers had just been awaken and through training he has slowly began to master his control over water. Letting out a small laugh to himself as he came out of his slight trance, he opened his eyes again. The world seemed to different, yet still remained the same. It was as if he could finally get back to putting his life back together once again.
Taking a few steps, he began to move from the spot he had been standing in for a few moments. Passing by countless people on the sidewalk, his thoughts began to leave him once again. His life had been taken away from him, stripped away just as everything seemed to be perfect. Cain would still remember the face of the man who stole everything from him. For a moment, his anger began to swell inside him, but he quickly snapped back into reality again. Now wasn't the time to think about that. There were more important things he needed to have on his mind at the moment. He had to train more before he could find the man and take revenge, but for now he worked for the government. He was going to make sure that no mutant would take away the life of another person ever again. He was going to bring justice into the world.
