Mutant Powers and Abilities:
- Reactive Adaptation – Weston has the ability to take any attack on him and adapt a permanent resistance to it, as long as it is not physical. Like if he is hit, he cannot create a resistance to the physical punch. If he is attacked with poison or something as such, his body immediately creates a resistance to it and cannot be affected with that particular toxin again. West cannot create a resistance to physical attacks like punches, kicks, knives, bullets, and the like. He can only create resistances to any type of toxin introduced into his system.
- Power Mimicry – Weston also has the ability to mimic other mutants’ power if they attack him with it. If a mutant with the ability to produce acid attacks him with their power, West will mimic their power as a defensive strategy, just as his body develops a natural resistance to the acid. West can only mimic other mutants power for a small amount of time, and it is not a permanent physical change.

PERSONALITY: Weston in general is an arrogant, snide, elitist bully but he covers it well with his charming attitude. He believes himself superior to most people because of his mutant status. He often derisively mocks humans and those that do not share his view of the world. West secretly admires his father, but models his views on homo sapiens on the way his father had treated him.
Weston is also a talented fighter, due to his mutations. He can easily go on the offense at the drop of a hat, and can hold his own in a scuffle. He possesses a sarcastic, often cruel wit that is disguised as a heartless air of charm. He cares very deeply for the Brotherhood, who he considers family, becoming extremely angry when anyone insults them, and is protective of them.

HISTORY: Weston Stefan Matthews was born to Tamara and Andrew Matthews 17 years ago. Weston’s father has a temper on him which he often takes out on his wife kid. West’s childhood was not a happy one. Who would want to spend their childhood years either getting beat up or trying to avoid getting hit by their father? West took the nearly daily beatings until he decided to stand up to his old man.
West was ten years old, and he was getting his butt kicked by Andrew while his mom was out shopping for the family. West got the courage to stand up and tell him to stop. Andrew’s anger grew and he grabbed a knife turning it on his own son. He ended up cutting West good across his chest, and as his son lay in pain with the growing pool of his blood, Andrew only nodded his head once and walked off into the other room. Andrew was watching television when his wife came home to find their child near the point of death. She took West to the hospital to get him looked after, but the relationship between father and son was never the same.
When West was thirteen, his father had tried to kill him once again. This time Andrew had tried to poison his son with strychnine that he had gotten from a guy he knew at work. Andrew watched with satisfaction as West fell out of his chair during breakfast, gasping for air and grabbing at his neck. So his son was convulsing from head to toe. When West finally stopped moving, Andrew took a few moments to gather his story before calling the cops. When he did accomplish that, he turned to the phone and picked up to dial. However, he dropped the receiver when he saw his son get up and continued to consume the toxin without further incident.
Andrew continued to beat his son, and West took it for two more years. Finally, West had enough and packed his few belongings and left without a second glance. As he travelled, he had learned of a group of people like himself and he searched them out. He found them six months after leaving his home, and convinced the Brotherhood that he was worthy of their ‘membership’. He stayed with them and in the last two years, he hones his fighting skills by sparing with other mutants. He soon learned of his other ability during one of these fights when his opponent attacked him with their acid ability. He found out that as his body created a resistance to the acid, he temporarily took on his opponent’s talent.
West currently attends the local high school, and works in a local garage as a mechanic.
